Welcome to Storieze
Storieze helps families and creators make personalised, illustrated and narrated storybooks with the help of artificial intelligence. By creating an account or using Storieze you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you don't agree, please don't use Storieze.
Your account
- You must be at least 18 (or the age of majority where you live) and able to enter a binding agreement.
- Storieze accounts are for adults. If you make stories for children, you create and manage the account and supervise how children use it.
- Give us accurate information and keep your sign-in details private. Tell us at support@storieze.com if you think someone else has used your account. You are responsible for what happens under your account.
Plans, credits and prices
- Storieze has a free starter allowance and paid plans (Family and Full). Their prices and features are on the Pricing page. Prices are in US dollars. Where we show an amount in another currency it is an estimate for reference: you are always charged in US dollars, and your bank's exchange rate and fees may apply.
- Everything you make uses credits. A paid plan includes a set number of credits each month; unused monthly credits do not carry over to the next month. Subscribers can also buy extra credits as a one-off purchase, separate from the subscription. Extra credits never expire while your account is open and are used after your monthly credits. The Pricing page and the Account page list what each kind of task costs. A free account subscribes to a plan before it can buy extra credits.
- We may change what tasks cost or what a plan includes as Storieze develops. We show the current cost in the app, and a change to a plan you have already paid for does not take effect until your next renewal.
- If a job can't be finished, the credits it used are returned to you automatically.
- If tax applies to your purchase, it is shown at checkout.
Payments, renewals, cancelling and refunds
- Payments are processed by Stripe. When you subscribe, you authorise us to charge your payment method every month or year, at the price you were shown, until you cancel.
- Cancel anytime. You can cancel from your Account page (Manage billing) whenever you like. Cancelling simply stops the recurring payment: your plan won't renew, and you keep your paid features until the end of the period you have already paid for.
- If we change the price of a plan we'll tell you before it applies, and it takes effect from your next renewal.
- If a payment fails we may try it again and may pause paid features until it is sorted out.
- Refunds. Yearly fees are not refundable, and we don't refund the unused part of a month or year after you cancel. Extra credits, once bought, are not refundable. If you were charged in error, for example twice, email support@storieze.com and we'll put it right. Nothing in these Terms limits any consumer-protection rights that cannot be waived where you live.
- After you cancel, the books you made stay in your library, and any extra credits stay on your account for when you subscribe again.
Your content
- You keep the rights you have in the names, photos, ideas, text and recordings you give us (“your content”).
- You give Storieze permission to store, process and display your content, and to send it to the providers listed in our Privacy Policy, only as needed to run the service for you.
- Only submit content you have the right to use. That includes photos of other people and especially children: you must be their parent or guardian, or otherwise authorised to use their picture and details.
- Voice features are for adults. Only record your own voice, with your own consent; never a child's voice, and never someone else's without their permission. You can withdraw a voice at any time.
AI-created stories and pictures
- Stories, pictures, translations and narration are created with the help of AI. They can contain mistakes, odd details or things that resemble other works, and we can't promise they are unique or right for every purpose.
- A grown-up should read everything before it is shared with, or read to, a child.
- We don't claim ownership of what you create with Storieze. Because AI is involved, the law on who owns AI-created material is still developing in many places, so we can't promise you exclusive rights. You are responsible for how you use and share what you create, including if you print, publish or sell it.
Using Storieze responsibly
Please don't use Storieze to:
- break the law or anyone's rights, including privacy and image rights;
- create anything that sexualises or endangers children. We have zero tolerance and will report it to the authorities where required;
- create hateful, violent, harassing or deceptive content, or impersonate a real person to mislead or harm;
- get around limits, credits or safety checks, or use bots or scrapers;
- copy, reverse engineer or resell the service, or overload it.
We may refuse requests and remove content that break these rules, and we may review content where needed for safety, support or legal reasons.
Printed books
You can order printed books through Storieze. They are printed and shipped by our print partner, Lulu, to the address you give us, so please check it carefully. Prices, shipping costs and estimated delivery times are shown before you pay; delivery times are estimates. Printed books are made to order, so an order usually can't be cancelled once printing has started. If a book arrives damaged or misprinted, email support@storieze.com and we'll work with the printer to put it right.
Availability and changes
Storieze is provided “as available”. We may update, change, suspend or stop features, and the service may sometimes be unavailable. If we ever close Storieze we'll tell you in advance and give you a reasonable chance to save your books.
Suspension and ending your account
We may suspend or close an account that breaks these Terms, puts other people or the service at risk, or is used unlawfully. You can stop using Storieze at any time. To close your account and delete your stories, email support@storieze.com. When an account is closed, any unused credits are lost.
Our responsibility
To the extent the law allows: Storieze is provided without warranties of any kind, express or implied; we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for content created with AI; and our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before it. None of this excludes liability that the law does not allow us to exclude, and it does not affect your rights as a consumer.
Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of British Columbia and the federal laws of Canada that apply there. Courts in British Columbia can hear disputes, except that if you are a consumer you may also have the right to bring a claim where you live.
Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms. We'll change the date at the top and, for important changes, tell you by email or in the app before they apply. If you keep using Storieze after a change takes effect, you accept the new Terms.
